Reinforced steel bar is used to fabricate a reinforcing cage which is joined to the top of the Micro piles or Mini Piles. When concrete is poured into the trench this forms the reinforced concrete ground beams on which to build.
The surface of the rebar or reinforced steel bar is grooved to form a better bond with the concrete.
The rebar is shaped and welded to form the cage specifically to fit the foundation design. The amount of reinforcement introduced into the design will be used to suit specific loading requirements
The reinforcing bar is used as a tension device in reinforced concrete structures, to strengthen and hold the concrete in compression. Concrete is a material that is very strong in compression, but relatively weak in tension. The rebar compensates for this imbalance in concrete’s behavior enabling it to carry tensile loads.
